Important changes are taking place at EFPlighting.com
When I
started this lighting tutorial site in early January I never imagined
it would have such an impact in our industry. In the first six months since its
introduction EFPlighting.com has received over three million hits and the
number is rapidly growing. As I said from the very start, this is your
site, tell me what you would like to see and I’ll tailor it to
your needs. Many of you have done just that. I have received hundreds
of e-mails from around the world with many excellent
suggestions. I have implemented many of your
suggestions to the point that most of my time has been
dedicated to the site but I still have many clients
that depend on me. I’m in
the process of hiring a staff to assist me in expanding and moving the
site forward. Of course in order to accomplish this I have to turn
EFPlighting.com into a full time business and the entire process can
get quite expensive.
I have a number of sponsors/advertisers whose commitment will help
toward the expansion costs but that alone will not be sufficient. A
decision therefore was made to convert portions of the site into a
subscription access system so I can bring you many more tutorials.
EFPlighting.com will be divided into two sections. The first
section will contain a wealth of information that will include news, product demonstrations and a
variety of other topics of general interest, always keeping in
mind that lighting is the core of this site. This section of the
site will remain free to access.
The second section of the site will contain the current tutorials and
will continuously upgrade and expand with many more tutorials. This section will be
accessible by subscription only.
For those loyal viewers that put us where we are today the annual
subscription for a limited time only will be only $50.00 for the first
full year.
EFPlighting.com is also going global. Many of our hits are coming
from around the world and I have received many requests to translate
the site into other languages. A Spanish version will be launched shortly and other popular languages will soon follow.
I sincerely appreciate the support that you’ve given
EFPlighting.com and I pledge that I will share with you
the knowledge that I was fortunate to accumulate within my 37
years as a
freelancer. I hope that your career
will be as
successful and rewarding as mine has been.
