LIGHTING and INTERVIEW WORKSHOPS

INTRODUCTION

Lighting and composition skills might not be the only key to success in video and television production

but there can not be success without it

Interviews are moving portraits, the same lighting, composition and posing techniques that were created in the 15th century by renaissance artists the likes of DaVinci, Caravaggio and Tintoretto are the foundation of modern lighting techniques, widely used today for television productions as well as for cinematography and still photography. These are the very same interviews techniques that we have seen for years on shows like ESPN Classic Sport Century,  20/20 and 60 Minutes.

There are very few video and television productions that do not include at least one interview; actually most productions are hinged around interviews; yet this is the area that most photographers have difficulties, especially when a client asks for something specific like the Classic Look or something they have seen on programs like 20/20 or 60 Minutes. The reason that this is a challenge with many photographers is because there has never been any training program totally dedicated to the skills of creating quality interviews, most photographers learn by trail and errors and it takes years to achieve a satisfactory lever of expertise.

UNTIL NOW

Nothing impresses clients more than a photographer with the skills and the ability to make people look good in front of the camera. Vanity is an important factor of this business.  These are the skills that give photographers the opportunity to step up to the higher and more profitable areas of video and broadcasting productions.
Just think, one single job will pay for the  workshop, then you have the rest of your career ahead of you.

Nino Giannotti, an Emmy award winner and founder of EFPlighting.com will share the skills he acquired in 38 years as an award winning photographer and a leader in this field.

The “Classic look” has become a worldwide standard for quality interviews; a style that Nino was instrumental in creating and refining.

These workshops not only will demonstrate how to create high end interviews set-ups but will also cover extensively how to get the best out of difficult situation when time and equipment are limited.

The two day workshops will accept a maximum of 25 participants.
